Project management-related deliverables: business case, charter, team contract, scope statement, WBS, schedule, cost baseline, status reports, final project presentation, final project report, lessons-learned report, and any other documents required to manage the project.

Product-related deliverables:

  1. Gather specific requirements for the internal working of the web site as well as the desired functionalities.
  2. Create UML systems analysis models, such as Use Case Model diagrams and Domain Model diagrams.
  3. Designing the ERD. As we identify entities that haven’t been considered in the Domain Model, we can go back and add them.
  4. Create graphics design for the new site. Create some preliminary screen mock-ups for the web site.
  5. Implement the ERD into the database
  6. Create the Form and connect it to the database
  7. QA the form by entering 25 candidate records via the form and performing various actions on the records from the form.
  8. Create a mock content management system for the admin.
  9.

Project Success Criteria: The project will be successful if we deliver the technical aspect of the project as well as a complete project documentation package and receive an “A”. This package will consist of all the project management related deliverables as well as detailed proposal for the implementation of various add on functionalities. The more creative and thorough we are the better chance of getting an “A”.

  1. Gene,

I like the “Product Characteristics and Requirements” section, it looks good.

We may want to add “project plan” to the “Project management-related deliverables” section.

[Prof Kanabar’s email] “3) IMPORTANT: ATTACHED is a bare bones Project plan template that you may use for your project. This needs to be turned in along with the “systems document” for the BUPMA.com website.”

For the “Product-related deliverables”, we can have the following added too,
    1. Internet site design: An initial design of the enhanced internet site will include a site map, Admin Page, suggested layout formats, and appropriate graphics. The final design will incorporate comments from users and faculty mentor (facilitator) on the initial design.
    2. Website security: The enhanced internet site will have build-in security enhancement features (public key encryption technique and access control) to protect membership personal information and database integrity.
    3. Test plan: The test plan will emphasize on website functionality and website security. The test plan will document what is being tested, how the specify feature will be tested, who will do the testing, and how bugs will be reported.

    Team, please comment!! :)
